Philadelphia Eagles Roster NFL News 2015: Sam Bradford Not Yet 100 Percent

The Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback saga continues even as the preseason game and the new NFL season begins.

With Chip Kelly at the helm, there have been some major changes, with Nick Foles leaving and the Sam Bradford looking like the starting quarterback for the team.

However, it seems like there are still a few concerns regarding the overall health and performance of Bradford.

The 27-year-old quarterback was sidelined for all of last season after suffering an ACL injury. Prior to that, he spent four years with the St. Louis Rams but only played seven games in the 2013 season.

With his move to the Eagles, many are still anxious to know whether he will be ready by Week 1 of the season.

When asked late in May, Bradford was cautious in giving an answer, but was optimistic with his chances.

"I think as long as we continue to progress and we don't have any setbacks, I feel very comfortable with where my knee is at right now," Bradford told Philly Mag.

And now in August, Bradford certainly does not look like he has any limp in his step, and has participated in 11-on-11 drills.

While many are quick to emphasize that his passing ability is still up to par, it was still obvious that Bradford still needed to work on his mobility – as he was clearly lacking movement while practicing.

As reported by Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com, he explained what Bradford's tendencies were on the field.

"In 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, Bradford will often catch the snap, stay put exactly where he is, and fire. Other times, he'll maybe do a short drop from his shotgun spot, and then throw," Kempski reported.

And despite not missing out on training camp so far, it shows that there is still a long road ahead for Bradford and the Eagles. As a result, the team are now considering whether Bradford will play in the preseason opener.

It is also believed that if Bradford will not be available, then Mark Sanchez will play as the starting quarterback for Philly.
