The Eagles meanwhile are 3-4 and second in the NFC East. They had the chance to take the number one spot in the division outright last week but suffered a bad 3-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys to allow them the privilege instead.
Philadelphia will be looking to control the clock and tempo of the game by running their powerful rush offense today. They rank number one in the NFL on rush, posting 165 yards per game on average on rush. In total yards gained per game they are ranked 3rd with 425.3 yards per game. However, all those yards have not resulted in the amount of wins as they'd have hoped for, and some lackluster defense has stunted their progress.
If the Eagles lose today they will be just a win ahead of the Giants, and could lose further ground on the Cowboys. They will want to make sure they claim a second win of the season over the Giants today.
