Pia Wurtzbach News: Miss Universe 2015 and Dr. Mike Already an Item?
Are Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and the "hottest doctor alive," Dr. Mikhail Varshavski (simply known as Dr. Mike) an item?
If the social media posts of the two are to be the basis, people are likely to conclude that they are. However, there's still good news for those who don't want to see the beauty queen and the doctor together, for whatever reason it may be, as Wurtzbach has belied speculations that she and the doctor are officially a couple.
"No. There's no specific someone in my life. This is the specific someone. This is the priority," she said as she held and flashed her Miss Universe sash to her computer camera via a live Facebook feed recently, sending out a message that her priority is the responsibilities that come with her Miss Universe crown.
Speculations and rumors about Wurtzbach and Varshavski playing sweet music together were sparked by the former's uploaded photo on her Twitter account, where she and the doctor posed for selfie after their gym boxing session.
After her controversial win, the 26-year old beauty queen from the Philippines has had many opportunities of brushing elbows with other popular names or, at least, getting direct messages from them.
When Wurtzbach was asked in an interview last January, she named actor James Franco as one of her Hollywood crushes. This resulted in Franco's posting on his Instagram account a photo of him with open arms, as if he was about to embrace Wurtzbach, whose photo was placed alongside his. Furthermore, Franco's post had a caption saying "I love Philippines. I love Miss Universe." Wurtzbach replied to the post by saying "I love you more!"
Wurtzbach is the third Miss Universe from the Philippines. Her victory at the Miss Universe pageant in December last year goes down in history as the most controversial ever as her runner up, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, was mistakenly announced as the winner by pageant host Steve Harvey.
Meanwhile, Varshavski was listed by People magazine as one of its "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2015.
