Pictures from the 2004 Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) is currently holding its 2004 General Assembly in Birmingham, Alabama. The theme of the Assembly is “Being the Presense of Christ Today…Tomorrow…Together.” Throughout the Assembly, members will discuss key issues in the 1,800-church fellowship, and will hear inspiring messages from keynote speakers. The event, which began on June 24, will last until June 26.

The CBF formed as a separate body from the Southern Baptist Convention – the nation’s largest protestant denomination with 16 million members – because of theological differences in 1991. Since then, the CBF has grown into a fellowship of 1,800 partner churches that cooperate with 13 theology schools and seminaries across the U.S.
