'Pillars of Eternity' DLC 'The White March - Part 2' Release Date: Launch Pushed to February
Despite the excitement and hype that the gaming community has been experiencing over the past weeks, it seems Obsidian Entertainment isn't all too ready to launch "The White March - Part 2" for the widely acclaimed game "Pillars of Eternity."
The developer, along with Paradox Interactive, announced on Tuesday that the expansion's release has been pushed back to Feb. 16, instead of its initial launch date which is "late January."
The news has dismayed a lot of fans, especially those who have been prepping to experience the much-awaited DLC expansion. On the other hand, some said it's a good choice since January is full of other game releases that are considered to go head-to-head with the expansion.
While fans are waiting for the expansion, they can just drool on the idea of a new companion to go along with the journey. This new friend goes by the name Meneha the Barbarian. Just with the name, it gives players the idea that this new partner isn't someone to mess with.
The expansion offers more than companionship as it will also allow players to exceed beyond the 14th level cap, which means the expansion is packed with various quests, plus brand-new abilities that all gamers can explore.
One of the most common issues that fans complained about is the lengthy narrative to be read while going through the game. For the book worm and the gamer who is interested in knowing everything that goes on in the plot, it won't be much of a problem but for those who just want the action, long texts are a "no."
This is probably why Obsidian came up with the new "Story Time" mode, which is a feature that will lessen the reading part. In a blog post, the developer said the new mode will allow players to "experience the incredible narrative of Pillars of Eternity at a faster pace."
"The White March - Part 2" is scheduled to roll out on Feb. 16.
