'Pinball XF3' Coming to Nintendo Switch This Month

"Pinball FX3" has been out for some time for the Wii U and the 3DS, so it was just a matter of time before Zen Studios announced a Nintendo Switch release for the game. The arcade table simulator will be coming to the Switch eShop on Nov. 14 for free with one table included.

"Sorcerer's Lair" will be the default table for the first Nintendo Switch version of "Pinball FX3," with more available for sale when the title launches less than two weeks from now. By Nov. 14, there will be 30 tables to choose from on sale, with more themes coming in as well, according to the announcement by Zen Studios.

It would not be a straight-up port of the game, too. Zen Studios revealed that the Switch version of the game will come with features that are only possible on Nintendo's hybrid console.

In handheld mode, an option to play the table vertically has been added, as Nintendo Life notes. "Pinball FX3" will also take full advantage of the High Definition Rumble feature of the Nintendo Switch for realistic table hits and other tactile effects.

Cross-platform multiplayer will also be supported, so players can challenge each other in the online league ladders, or work together to advance the role-playing gameplay elements of the pinball game. As players keep playing on a table, they gain experience points and levels that unlock power-ups like Rewind, Score Boost or Slow-Motion.

The other tables, aside from the original Sorcerer's Lair table, are organized by packs. The "Balls of Glory" table pack, for example, includes layouts with themes from television shows like "Family Guy," "Bob's Burgers," "Archer," and "American Dad!."

Stand-alone table like "Portal" and "The Walking Dead" are also available. The video below shows in-game shots of "Pinball FX3," coming to the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 14.
