Pippa Middleton Admits Fame, Derrière Recognition is 'Startling'
Pippa Middleton recently spoke out about her fame status and acknowledged that her derrière has played a key role in her overnight rise to stardom.
The younger sister of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, spoke candidly about being a global phenomenon and described her world as being "startling" during an interview on Sunday.
"It is a bit startling to achieve global recognition before the age of 30 on account of your sister, your brother-in-law and your bottom," Middleton told Mail Online via an excerpt from her new book.

"One day I might be able to make sense of this. In the meantime I think it's fair to say that it has its upside and its downside," she went on.
The 29-year-old party planner, who captivated audiences during the Royal wedding of Kate and Prince William in April 2011, is currently promoting her new party-planning book "Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends." Middleton acknowledged that such opportunities often arise from being so famous.
"I certainly have opportunities many can only dream of – but in most ways I'm a typical girl in her 20s trying to forge a career and represent herself in what can sometimes seem rather strange circumstances," she explained.
"I am by nature an optimist so I tend to concentrate on the advantages. One of the most attractive has been the chance to publish [this book] Celebrate," she added.
The intense media scrutiny has definitely had its downsides for Middleton, who became the subject of a police investigation in April after being photographed in the passenger seat of an Audi convertible during an infamous fake gun incident. The driver reportedly pointed what appeared to be a semi automatic pistol at a photographer and some critics believe that the police probe affected her image.
"I know many of you will pick up the book out of nothing more than curiosity. [But] I can assure you that it feels even stranger to me than it probably does to you to have seen so much written about me when I have done so little to paint a picture of myself," Middleton said. "This is my first chance to do that and I've enjoyed every minute of it."
