Pippa Middleton Engaged to Boyfriend Nico Jackson

Pippa Middleton, the little sister of the Kate Middleton, is engaged to her boyfriend Nico Jackson, reports indicated on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old entrepreneur is just one year younger than the Duchess of Cambridge, but the bride-to-be is nearly four years behind her famous sister in getting engaged.

Jackson, an English banker, supposedly proposed to Middleton during their early December trip to India's five-star resort Oberoi Amarvilas, according to sources at Us Weekly.

"It was exactly how he planned it," one insider explained. "Very romantic and grand!"

The pair have been together for 15 months and were believed to have gotten engaged in September. Although the rumor was false, Middleton and her beau are frequently photographed together and clearly enamored with one another, marking the engagement news as no surprise.

Also back in September, Middleton fanned the flames of engagement rumors after posting a column for The Telegraph about how to pick the best bouquet for social gatherings and mentioning her own future wedding.

"Much like buying a Christmas tree at a nursery, the picking and pruning are part of the enjoyment," she penned. "Next stop, a flower-arranging course. Maybe I'll be a DIY (do-it-yourself) bride?"

Meanwhile, Middleton shot to fame during the royal wedding in April 2011 when her sister married Prince William. Serving as the only bridesmaid, Middleton donned the now-iconic figure-hugging white Alexander McQueen dress down the aisle at Westminster Abbey. Behind her, Kate also wore an Alexander McQueen creation.

Last year, Middleton addressed her unusual rise to stardom in her book, "Celebrate."

"It's a bit startling to achieve global recognition before the age of 30 on account of your sister, brother-in-law and your bottom," the party planning expert penned in an excerpt in the U.K.'s Mail Online. "One day, I might be able to make sense of this. In the meantime I think it's fair to say that is has its upside and downside."

Pippa and Kate also have a younger brother, James.
