Pippa Middleton New Haircut 2017: Duchess' Sister Sports A Shorter New Hairstyle
After her highly-publicized wedding with James Matthews in May, Pippa Middleton is once again making the news after she debuted her new haircut in public.
The 34-year-old British socialite and author was spotted riding a bicycle in London four months after her lavish wedding with a new shoulder-length hairstyle dubbed as "the pob."
Middleton's new haircut is noticeably a lot shorter compared to her signature long locks. Since the public got to know her as the younger sister of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Middleton has always been wearing her hair long and barely changed her color.

The public has a favorable opinion regarding Middleton's new hairstyle. In an interview with Telegraph, Josh Wood Atelier's principal hairstylist Rob Fitch said that the shorter hairstyle allowed the Duchess' sister to look like she has thicker hair. It also gave her a more youthful appearance.
"For Pippa, this style is great as it's the perfect length should she need to tie it up, which is often a request from busy and active clients as not everyone has the time for a full blow out each morning," Fitch said.
The hairstylist also believes that the new hairstyle fits Middleton's active lifestyle since she is known for constantly hitting the gym and engaging in outdoor sports like running and cycling. This means that she does not have to spend a lot of time fixing her hair since shorter locks only require minimal maintenance.
"Shorter hair is always going to be popular as it's usually easier to manage and gives the illusion of thickness, especially if the hair has a blunter finish," Fitch also stated.
Duchess Catherine also debuted her shortest haircut to date during the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in early July. It was the first time that the wife of Prince William wore her hair a little above her shoulders since she is known for her brunette locks that fall all the way to her back.
