Pippa Middleton News: Royal Sister Fired From Gig Due to 'Lack of Interest'
Pippa Middleton has officially lost her job at the Daily Telegraph due to low interest, but never fear, the sister of Duchess Kate Middleton has plenty to keep her busy these days. And Middleton is working on numerous projects in her personal life as well.
"She is a freelance writer, she wrote it [a column for the Daily Telegraph] for six months, and she has gone on to other publications," a source told People.
Her column, entitled "Sport and Social," apparently did not do well with readers. Middleton wrote about such topics as boxing, which she herself called "pure but pleasing agony" and then delved into the world of pancakes and underwater cycling.

"The readers just weren't into it," a source told Us Weekly. "There was a lot of negative mail coming in after each column and there were too many off-limit subjects for her. They ran out of ideas."
This is the second "flop" for the younger Middleton sister, who tried her hand at book writing when she published "Celebration," a party planning book. "Celebration" sold a disappointing 18,000 copies, effectively ending any hope of publishing a second such book.
Middleton does still have a job writing for "Vanity Fair" here in the United States. Her columns have covered traditionally English topics such as the history and love of polo and have generally done well with readers. Her most recent article in "Vanity Fair" discusses life during Royal Ascot Week. She also writes for the lesser-known "Waitrose Kitchen," an English magazine that sells well, and Middleton still works with her parents in their party-planning business.
In her personal life, Middleton is still dating Nico Jackson, and there are rumors that they are moving closer towards an engagement and wedding. Plus, Middleton debuted a new hairdo, setting off waves throughout the style world. Numerous followers hang on her every look and appearance, so there are bound to be plenty of haircuts in store for the summer.
