'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Cast, Plot: Ghost Captain Haunts Sparrow

Fans should prepare for the coming of a new captain in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" as this mystery pirate is set to haunt Captain Jack Sparrow.

For those who have been following the path of the pirates, some of the movies in the franchise may have become dull due to the story lines that didn't seem to be of interest to the fans.

However, new details have just emerged, suggesting that the upcoming movie will be going back to the basics — that is, fun and adventure combined instead of just traveling and seemingly reaching no goal.

While it has been revealed earlier that Keira Knightley's Elizabeth Swan isn't coming back for good, fans were excited to discover that Orlando Bloom's Will Turner will make a comeback, most likely to help his dear, old friend escape from the hands of the mystery captain.

According to a report by Master Herald, ghosts will be in the midst of Johny Depp's Jack and his jolly sailor boat. Captain Salazar, a new villain never seen in the previous films, will be played by Javier Bardem. Salazar will be raising the colors against Sparrow, thinking that he is responsible for bringing death to his brother.

The outlet further explains that Salazar was actually one of Sparrow's former foes but he is now coming back to execute revenge on Sparrow.

Bardem's entrance is a breath of fresh air, especially since there were some rumors that the fourth installment didn't really hit the expectation mark of what moviegoers wanted to see. Also, Kaya Scodelario has been cast as Carina Smyth.

Scodelario's character is expected to bring the romantic air on board with Brenton Thwaites, who will play the role of Henry, Will and Elizabeth's long lost son. Some outlets report that the couple's love story will create a major story line that will bring more life to the movie.

As Salazar starts the "hide-and-seek" game that Sparrow is known to be a master of, Carina and Henry's love begins to bloom. Other story lines are expected to come out sooner or later, but until then, fans should just wait for the movie to hit the big screens on July 2017.
