Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Trade and Roster Rumors: Martavis Bryant Drawing Trade Interest From Multiple Contenders

As the National Football League (NFL) trade deadline draws near, one has to wonder if the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to trade disgruntled wide receiver Martavis Bryant.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Steelers have been getting calls from contenders who are interested in acquiring Bryant, but the team reportedly won't let him force his way out.

Last week, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin also indicated that they were not looking to move Bryant.

"He's not available via trade. We've invested a lot. We've covered a lot of ground. It's obvious we've got more ground to cover with him because we're having a conversation with him that's not football-related," Tomlin said, via ESPN.

"He says some things when he's not around us that are somewhat of a distraction. And I say 'somewhat' because we're fielding questions about it, not because it's high on my damn agenda. But because I am fielding questions, it is somewhat of a distraction, and we'll deal with it as such and move on from it," he added.

Bryant has made himself the center of attention in the past couple of weeks because of his behavior and the Steelers aren't exactly happy with him right now.

It all started when word got out that Bryant had requested a trade earlier this season because he wasn't happy with his role in the offense. The wide receiver denied that he has asked for a trade, but his girlfriend, Deja Hiott, has tweeted a scathing criticism of the Steelers when the reports appeared online. The tweet has since been deleted.

Days after, Bryant publicly asked for a trade, and he also criticized teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster in a since-deleted Instagram post. He was a no-show for a team meeting last Monday as well.

Bryant has alienated some of his colleagues with his recent comments, but right now, it doesn't seem like he's going anywhere.
