Planned Parenthood Video Celebrating '12 Days of Contraceptives' Pulled From Public Viewing

A video posted by a Planned Parenthood affiliate on YouTube celebrating the "12 Days of Contraceptives" is no longer available for viewing online.

The controversial 5-minute advertisement video, posted Monday by Planned Parenthood Arizona, was recently made into a private video, so it cannot be viewed by the general public.

The video is not listed on the YouTube Account for Planned Parenthood Arizona, with the most recent upload as of Thursday evening being a video from October titled "Simple Facts about Health Insurance and Obamacare."

Posted earlier this week, the "12 Days of Contraceptives" video was an ad for the Arizona affiliate that involved a song expressing the benefits of contraception.

"We hope you will enjoy this original song written by staff and performed by volunteers. And, if you want to know more about the different types of birth control mentioned in the song, visit www.ppaz.org," remarked the makers of the video.

Items mentioned in the so-called "contraceptive version" of the carol that one was to be thankful for included a box of Plan B, condoms, Depo-Provera shots, NuvaRings, birth control pills, dental dams, and diaphragms.

Set to the tune of the classic Christmas Carol "Twelve Days of Christmas," the video garnered much controversy from pro-life groups.

"Leave it to Planned Parenthood to come up with a way to bastardize Christmas with a song that distorts the traditional Christmas song 12 Days of Christmas," wrote Steven Ertelt of Lifenews.com.

"The only thing worse than the content of the [song] is the pitifully poor singing by the abortion clinic staffers."

Others, like Jezebel writer Kelly Faircloth, found the contraceptive carol to be "priceless," advising viewers to "show it to your conservative cousin over Christmas dinner and he'll have a conniption fit."

"Unfortunately, it looks like the video has been made private. Feel free to submit your own contraceptive-focused Christmas carol cover in the comments, though," added Faircloth in an update.

While making the video private and unlisted on their videos page on YouTube, Planned Parenthood Arizona still has as of Wednesday evening a mention of the carol on their Twitter handle.

"Are u in the holiday spirit? You will be after u check out our 12 Days of Christmas song...The Contraceptive Version!" tweeted the affiliate on Monday.
