'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' News: Xbox One Release Date and Bluehole's Determination to Keep Cheater Out of the Game
Developed by Bluehole, "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" have received quite the following from the gaming community since it was released on Steam. It was lauded for its unique platform and features which have since received many positive reviews. However, the game's developer seems to be determined to keep the environment of "PUBG" safe from toxic players as a new update revealed that they have banned a record number of players in 24 hours.
According to PC Gamer, BattlEye, who is in charge of policing the servers of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds," is banning 6,000 to 13,000 players. Within 24 hours, they have banned 20,000 players last Friday. They have also stated that most of the banned players originate from China, where in-game ads incited an outpour of negative reviews on the Steam page of "PUBG."
So far, BattlEye has banned a grand total of 322,000 "cheaters" from the game as they continue to push for keeping the environment of "PUBG" as safe as possible for its fans.
The fanbase of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" continues to grow as they have managed to set another record of most number of concurrent players last week, topping the charts at 2,300,000. Sales have also been reportedly consistent as more fans jump on board Bluehole's flagship game title.
Although their record-setting streak has definitely empowered the fans to encourage their friends and family to join the community, many are still worried that "PUBG" may never make it to Microsoft's flagship console.
Microsoft's head of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg has responded to the clamor on social media, and he has confirmed that the team is working hard to roll out the Xbox One version of "PlayerUknown's Battlegrounds" by this coming holiday.
No specific release date was given, but fans were mostly relieved that Greenberg confirmed that the plan and development for it exists. More information on the Xbox One version of "PUBG" is expected in the coming months. Until then, the game is now available on Steam.
