PlayStation Essentials Sale: Get Up to 75 Percent Discount on Must-Have PS3, PS4, and PS Vita Titles
Sony has announced a new sale for select games and movies. The new promotion is called "PlayStation Essentials Sale."
"Whether you're a brand-new PS4 owner or a seasoned PS vet, we've put together a lineup of the most iconic, best-selling, and critically acclaimed PlayStation games to start or add to your collection," Sony announced at its PlayStation Blog on Tuesday, Jan. 12. "Not to be outdone, we also have a hand-picked list of all-time-favorite movies on sale."
More than 100 games are currently included in the sale: nearly 30 titles for the PlayStation 4, nearly 60 titles for the PS3, and more than 10 titles for the PS Vita.

PS4
A total of 29 games have been discounted for the PS4. These games include titles from "Assassin's Creed," "Call of Duty," "Dragon Age," "Grand Theft Auto," "Saints Row," "Watch Dogs," and "Infamous." Games such as "Driveclub," "Child of Light," "NBA 2K16 Michael Jordan Special Edition," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," and more are also on sale.
PS3
PS3 titles on sale include three "Assassin's Creed" titles, "Battlefield 3" and its Premium Edition, six "Call of Duty" titles, "Dragon Age" and its Deluxe Edition, "Far Cry" and its Ultimate Edition, three "Grand Theft Auto" titles, "Saints Row IV" and its National Treasure Edition, "Watch Dogs," "Batman: Arkham Origins," "NBA 2K16," "Need for Speed Rivals Complete Edition," "Persona 4 Arena Ultimax," "Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack," and many more.

"Olliolli" is a three-way cross-buy, meaning those who buy the game for the PS Vita will be able to play it on the PS3 and PS4 without having to pay more. In other words, buyers need to pay only once for the game and be able to play it across all three consoles at no additional price. "Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate" is also a cross-buy for PS Vita and PS4. Meanwhile, "Velocity Ultra" comes with a trial.
As for movies, Sony has lined up more than 70 films including "Elysium," "Zoolander," "Terminator: Genisys," two "Madagascar" titles, and "300: Rise of an Empire."
As always, PlayStation Plus members will get an additional 10 percent discount on top of the sale. The PlayStation Essentials Sale is valid until Monday, Jan. 18.
