PlayStation Plus News: See List of Available Free Games Before October 2017 Lineup Goes Live

Sony has already announced the October 2017 lineup for PlayStation Plus free games, but they will not go live until Tuesday. Luckily, PS Plus members can wait for those games by playing several free titles included in the September 2017 list.

The list includes the 2014 action-adventure PS4 game "inFAMOUS Second Son" ($19.99) where players assume the characters of superhumans who need to fight and evade the wrath of the vicious Department of Unified Protection.

PS Plus members can also continue to try the PS4 aerial competitive game "Strike Vector EX" ($14.99) where players need to control fire-breathing, flying robots from a first-person perspective.

Meanwhile, PS3 players have exclusive access to "Handball 16" ($19.99) where they can play a simulation of the said sport that consists of 68 teams from various handball European leagues.

The September 2017 lineup of PS Plus free games also features the PS3 racing simulation game "Truck Racer" ($9.99). Until Oct. 3, subscribers can try 48 tracks set in 10 environments, and customize vehicles scattered among six truck categories for free.

PS Vita players can still play the colorful shooter arcade game "WE ARE DOOMED" ($9.99) and try to finish 30 Waves modes and the Endless mode for free until Tuesday. The game is available to cross-buy with the PS4.

"Hatoful Boyfriend" ($9.99) is also available for the PS Vita and PS4 via cross-buy where players will assume the character of a human who strangely goes to St. PigeoNation's Institute as the lone non-pigeon student.

All the above-mentioned games can be accessed for free until Tuesday at 11 p.m. of the player's local time. Beyond that, all titles will need to be bought at the indicated prices if they want to continue whatever progress they made until Oct. 3.

As soon as these titles leave the free games lineup, Sony will put up another hefty list of freebies for October 2017 headlined by the critically-acclaimed action-adventure game designed by Hideo Kojima – the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."

Meanwhile, an exclusive PS Plus freebie available until Tuesday, Oct. 24, is the PS4 game "That's You." It is a multiplayer party game where people can get to know more about their friends and family by going through "funny questions, texting games, and drawing challenges" included in the gameplay.
