PlayStation Store Week 3 Voting News: 'BioShock: The Collection' and 'XCOM 2' Go Head to Head

The previous two weeks proved to be a blast for PlayStation owners as they get to decide which between two games gets offered at a discounted rate for a limited time. With the momentum going, two more titles clash this week, and it happens that both of them come from the same publisher.

In a PlayStation blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment America Digital Games Business manager Brian Fujimoto has announced the two games that will divide the community once more through votes, namely "BioShock: The Collection" and "XCOM 2." While both are published by 2K Games, they differ in genre, making it truly a decision based on preference.

"BioShock: The Collection" is a first-person shooter game set in the eerie cities of Rapture and Columbia where it seems DNA manipulation is just normal. As one dives further into the story, the plot thickens as unexpected twists and turns take players on an experience that is unique and mesmerizing.

The great thing about it is just like what the name implies, it is a collection of three titles, namely "BioShock," "BioShock 2" and "BioShock Infinite." All three are remastered in 1,080p, and the collection carries all single-player downloadable contents (DLCs) as well. It is also a great item for fans of the game as it also has a director's commentary included in the package.

"XCOM 2," on the other hand, is a turn-based title dealing with man's struggles to co-exist harmoniously with alien forces that now dominate the Earth. The remnants of the planet's last line of defense known as the XCOM need to rally together in order to expose the sinister plot underneath the pretentious façade the aliens are staging.

The result of the votes will be announced on Friday, March 17. The winning game will be made available with a 50 percent discount during the weekend, so it will be interesting to see which title prevails this time.
