'Pokémon Go' Evolution Guide: What Players Can Do to Acquire More Evolution Items

Taking the 'First PokéStop of the Day' streak up to seven days provides 'Pokémon Go' players with a reliable way to get an evolution item

One of the more difficult tasks any "Pokémon Go" player can take on is to collect the different evolution items inside the game.

There are five of these that players can work on getting, and they are the Dragon Scale, King's Rock, Metal Coat, Sun Stone and the Upgrade.

Now, these evolution items are sought after for different reasons.

Some players may be after them simply because they are needed for the development of a particular Pokémon, while others may be trying to hunt all of them down because they are collectors and would love to have all the items that the game has to offer.

Unfortunately for those players, obtaining evolution items cannot exactly be done in a hurry, and for a while, it was quite the challenge even just to find one inside the game.

The good news is that the developers have since made it somewhat easier to obtain evolution items by giving players an opportunity to receive one after they take their "First PokéStop of the Day" streak up to seven days, as outlined in a recent post on the game's official website.

Still, even if "Pokémon Go" players are going to take advantage of that feature to collect the evolution items they covet, it may still take them a while to do so.

As Pokémon Go Informer noted in a recent article, it may take up to 17 weeks for players to get all the evolution items after taking into account that duplicates may be handed out.

This may still be the preferred way of collecting evolution items, however, as simply relying on random PokéStop spins could lead to players having to use even more of their time on a tedious, potentially very frustrating and possibly even fruitless endeavor.

More news about "Pokémon Go" should be made available in the near future.
