Numerous Gen 2 Pokémon were recently added to "Pokémon Go" and that has given players new reasons to check out the game, though it appears that quite a few users are currently having trouble doing exactly that.
Specifically, it appears that some iPhone users are dealing with crashing issues while trying to play the game.
Over on r/TheSilphRoad Subreddit, different Trainers have shared their experiences related to the difficulties they have encountered while attempting to play recently.

Some have noted that they are unable to click anything even after the game has started, while others have mentioned that they are having difficulty even just starting up the app as they are getting stuck in the start-up process and seeing nothing but a white screen.
The exact reasons behind why some iPhone users are currently having trouble with the game remain unknown for now, though other players have suggested some potential fixes that could get the app up and running again.
Redditor "ThrowdoBaggins" mentioned that other players could try pressing and holding the lock button until the "power off" notification shows up onscreen. Afterwards, they can again press and hold the home button until that same notification disappears. This trick can apparently get rid of some bits of bad memory, and it might prove helpful to "Pokémon Go" players using iPhones.
Redditor "jdakea13" added that iPhone 7 owners will need to press and hold the volume button instead of the home button to pull off the aforementioned trick.
Unfortunately, that fix may not work for everyone and it's also unclear when the issues may be officially addressed.
As the International Business Times noted in a recent report, the developers have yet to comment on these crashing issues, and until they do, players may have to keep on waiting for that potential fix.
Hopefully for "Pokémon Go" players using iPhones, the issues currently plaguing the game will be resolved sooner rather than later.
