'Pokemon GO' Update: Gen 3 Release To Be Staggered According To Niantic
Sad news "Pokemon GO" fans everywhere as it appears it might take a while for all Gen 3 Pokemon to be available in the game. This is after comments made by developer Niantic which suggests that the full release date will be staggered.
"The rest of the Pokémon first seen in the "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire" video games will gradually arrive starting as early as December!" Niantic explained suggesting that the next wave of Gen 3 Pokemon will be launched as part of a new event. There is also a possibility that they will start appearing in raids in early December.
Hopefully, Niantic's Christmas treat to fans will be the release of a huge batch if not all of the Gen 3 Pokemon. This will definitely convince players to take part in the game during the festive season despite the cold conditions making outdoor gameplay a bit challenging.
The first batch of Gen 3 Pokemon was introduced in the game's Halloween event which is currently ongoing. Sableye and Banette can now be caught by trainers appearing in between Spooky Pokemon like Gastly, Drowzee and Cubone will are spawning more regularly for the duration of the event. They can also capture a special Pikachu wearing a witch hat during the event.
In other news, there is currently a rumor that Niantic might be looking to change all PokeStops into Gyms in the near future. This is after "Pokemon GO" players have been experiencing the strange glitch that only provides two items out of PokeStops causing them to rely more on gyms when it comes to item drops.
The reasoning behind this theory comes from Niantic's previous game Ingress, which only uses one type of building in the game – Portals. Portals function the same way as gyms and there are certainly a lot of them compared to Pokestops. It would be interesting fans' reaction if Niantic chooses to go on this path.
"Pokemon GO" is currently available to download from the Google Play and the App Store.
