'Pokémon Sun and Moon' Ash Pikachu Attacks and Features Revealed

Players of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" are set to get a free treat as part of the commemoration of the upcoming 20th anniversary of "Pokémon."

According to Video Games Republic, a special Ash Pikachu will be available on specific dates. The free Pokémon will wear one of Ash's signature hats from the past generations – the original cap, Hoenn cap, Sinnoh cap, Unova cap, Kalos cap and Alola cap. These hats will not appear in random but will follow a given schedule.

Players may get their codes by pre-ordering a ticket for the upcoming movie, "I Choose You," which is set to premiere this July. It is said to be a remake of the original series when Ash was just starting to train as a Pokémon master. The movie is also expected to show how Ash and Pikachu met.

Aside from the Ash Pikachu, trainers will also get a special Pikashumium Z. The crystal will reportedly let Pikachu use the 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt, an electric-type Z-move.

Meanwhile, Serebii indicates that the Ash Hat Pikachu will appear in different levels and will have specific move sets. Each will come in a Pokeball and has the Static ability. For example, the original cap will be available in the first level with moves that include Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Thunder and Agility.

For those who aspire to get a Hoenn Cap Pikachu, it will appear in level 6, with a move set of Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Thunder and Iron Tail. The Sinnoh cap will be available in level 10, with moves that include Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Volt Tackle. In level 14, the Unova Cap Pikachu will appear. Its move set is the same as with the Sinnoh one. The Kalos Cap and Alola Cap Pikachus will appear in levels 17 and 20, respectively. Their move sets are the same - Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Electro Ball.
