'Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!' News: Everything to Know Including Air Date in Disney XD and Premiere in Theatres
"Pokémon" has turned out to be one of the most loved game titles and Japanese anime series to grace the childhood of many of its fans. It has received consistent attention since it was first released, and to honor the adventures of the gang, Fathom Events and The Pokémon Company International has announced that "Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!" is going to land in theaters, along with two new episodes, and a never-before-seen trading card that feature Pikachu wearing Ash's trademark cap. Here is everything to know about "Pokémon The Movie."
According to reports, "Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!" is about recounting the adventures of Pikachu and Ash to honor the 20 years of the pair's adventures. They will be showcasing their first meeting and some of their adventures, but most notably the one where they embark on a journey to find Ho-oh. Furthermore, it seems that Brock and Misty will not be accompanying the pair, as they will instead be joined by two new characters, named Verity and Sorrel. Despite the uproar that this caused, the crew behind the film were quick to reassure the fans.
Apparently, Brock and Misty will instead appear on the two new episodes of "Pokémon Sun and Moon," which will air before "Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!" premieres on Disney XD. It will tell the story of an entire arc in two episodes and it will air on Disney XD on Nov. 25 at 9 a.m. EDT, with the film following soon after beyond 10 a.m. EDT.
Meanwhile, Den of Geek revealed that for those who are looking to watch "Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!" in theaters, they can do so at an earlier date, with a special bonus for the dedicated fans. The trading card that will be given away for each of those who will watch in theatres for as a long as supplies last. It gives 100 damage with only three electric cards, which should entice many fans.
Aside from its Disney XD premiere, "Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!" is scheduled to land in theatres on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6.
