Pokemon X and Y Save Glitch Patch Now Available in Nintendo eShop

After a few weeks of Pokemon X and Y dealing with a glitch that broke the game after trying to save it in a specific spot, Nintendo has released a patch on their eShop to fix the problem.

The best news about the game fix is that it allows users to pick up where they left off in the game as long as they did not delete the original save file.

The patch will also fix a bug that brought up a communication error that occurred during the Global Trade System, according to Escapist Magazine.

To access the patch, gamers should log on to the eShop and download it directly, or they can use the 3DS camera QR code scanner to scan a specific code for both the X and Y version.

The patch is 229 save blocks big.

The problem started when gamers began reporting issues when trying to save outside the streets of Lumiose City.

The whole game freezes and can only be disrupted by shutting off the 3DS.

However, even then rebooting the game would not fix the problem because the game will load right back to the point of the freeze.

The only option was to delete the save file and start the game over again, causing huge frustration for game players.

Nintendo said the bug only occured in certain areas, and showed a map of the places to avoid.

The company said to be absolutely safe, save the game in a Pokemon Center.

Pokemon X and Y sold over 4 million copies globally its launch weekend.
