Pokemon X and Y Transfer Guide Now Available, Find Out How to Use Bank and Transporter Better
A new guide for Pokemon X and Y that discusses transferring Pokeman using Bank and the Tranporter apps is now available.
IGN.com recently updated this guide and details the Pokemon Bank app which was released earlier today. See it here.
The application allows users to upload and store up to 3000 Pokemon to the internet, manage them and download them to any of the Pokemon X and Y games. The service requires an annual $4.99 fee and a free trial period for Pokemon Bank will be available from Feb. 5 until March 14.
The app can be downloaded onto the 3DS and can be used on any physical or digital copies of Pokemon X and Y at any time after users obtain their Pokedex in the game. Users can then use Pokemon Link to receive Pokemon in the game.
Pokemon Bank will come with another app labeled Poke Transporter that allows users to upload Pokemon from Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 to the Pokemon Bank. This transfer can only be done by bringing Pokemon from older games to X and Y, not vice versa. Users will not be able to download Poke Transporter without Pokemon Bank. The first Pokemon X and Y online competition is scheduled to begin in the middle of this month.
This new tournament will be the first that allows Pokemon from the X and Y versions to be entered. The Beta Competition will utilize the Pokemon Global Link feature to connect battling trainers and allow the use of Pokemon from Kalos region in combat.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. ET and is open to Pokemon trainers worldwide.
