Porsche Design Book One vs. Microsoft Surface Pro 5: Which is Better?
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 has just ended and it has left participants with dropped jaws and heightened excitement. One of the biggest reasons for this is because it appears like Microsoft's illustrious Surface line is bound to face a tough yet fancy competition with the up-and-coming laptop from Porsche Design, the Book One.
As per Porsche Design's official website, the Book One sports a powerful Intel Core i7 processor and 512 GB solid-state drive (SSD), which makes it fast and efficient. When partnered with Windows 10 and a stylus, it provides a professional feel, much like Microsoft's Surface Book.
Aside from that, it also boasts that it has superior battery life that could last for 14 hours with normal use and charging time below two hours plus multiple ports, which means it won't have problems with connectivity as well as long hours of working on it. Perhaps the biggest difference that the Book One has up its sleeve is the VarioHinge. This is something the Surface line doesn't have, as this allows it to rotate 360 degrees, The Verge has discovered. With unparalleled flexibility, it can assume modes such as tablet, notebook, and even presentation mode with just a quick twist. This just shows that when it comes to aesthetics, Porsche Design may be on the lead.
As for Microsoft's Surface Pro 5, tech aficionados are currently stuck at speculations while everything is kept under the wraps. While its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4 runs on sixth generation Intel processors, it could possibly sport seventh-generation Intel Kaby Lake processors and a 4K display option, which is rather logical.
So is the Porsche Design Book One better? It is too early to say for sure now that the Surface Book 5 is still in hiding, but as things appear it looks like the Book One is raking in interested consumers.
