Porsha Stewart Donating Her Wedding Dress To Charity

Porsha Stewart may be going through a very public divorce but "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star seems to be channeling her pain by giving her wedding dress to charity.

Stewart learned on Twitter that her estranged former NFL playing husband Kordell Stewart was divorcing her last March. However, the granddaughter of civil-rights leader Hosea Williams, is donating one piece of her wedding ceremony memories to the Enchanted Closet charity organization.

The Enchanted Closet receives donations to outfit underprivileged girls with prom dresses and now Stewart is taking the same premise and applying it to future brides. The Enchanted Closet website explains Stewart's reasoning behind giving away her wedding dress.

"Just like with making plans for prom, many women are faced with making tough decisions while planning their weddings. They may have experienced financial hardship, illness, had to overcome some obstacle or challenge, but still should not miss out on having the most essential and enchanting item necessary for their wedding-a dress," the website states. "That is why the Enchanted Closet is so delighted to partner with Porsha Stewart of Bravo TV's The 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' for the Enchanted Brides Giveaway. Porsha will be giving away her wedding dress to ensure that one special woman feels enchanted on her special day in spite of what she has gone through or the tough choices she has had to make."

The giveaway is open to women 21 years and older who apply on www.http://enchantedcloset.org where official rules are outlined.
