Porsha Williams Reveals Why She Wanted No Money From Divorce

Porsha Williams is revealing why she is not upset with walking away from her marriage to former NFL player Kordell Stewart with little to nothing.

Williams is officially divorced from former NFL player Kordell Stewart, and "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star seems to be ready to start over. Although 32-year-old Williams has publicly spoken about her divorce, she appeared on the talk show "Bethenny" where she recently refuted claims that she wanted money from her ex-husband.

"I didn't ask for anything. Right now in the press it's, 'Porsha didn't get anything, poor Porsha,' and people are feeling sorry for me because I didn't get anything and they think that we went to trial and I lost," Williams said on the talk show. "I didn't go to trial, I chose not to go to court. So there was no judgment."

Williams spoke about how the trauma from her divorce made her wary of fighting for any money or possessions.

"What happened was … it just tore me apart to go through this divorce, it really did. It was so traumatic and it ruled over my life," she told Bethenny. "I woke up … I'm divorcing, every single day and I wanted the freedom ... So I told my attorney, 'Listen, I am done with this. Get the divorce decree, I am coming to sign it.' I said the only thing I want him to do is pay for my hospital bills because I didn't have insurance."

Williams previously declared that she will keep the surname that she acquired after marrying her estranged husband, but has changed her mind, revealing that her maiden name suits her best.

"I am officially Porsha Williams. I was holding onto something and I really can't explain to you what it was," Williams told ABC News Radio earlier this year. "But just as women we have the right to change our minds. I just want to leave my own legacy and I want to build up who I am, and be able to leave that with that name Williams."
