'Power Rangers' Cast News: Official Cast Revealed
The movie adaptation of the TV series "Power Rangers" has finally released its official cast.
The official cast for the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie is expected to bring in a new set of faces to take on the role of the rangers.
For the "Red Ranger," it was reported that Australian actor Dacre Montgomery will be up to take on the role. He has no other experience in film apart from several Australian productions. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ludi Lin will be playing the role of the "Black Ranger." Similar to Montgomery, he has very little movie credits to his name. The "Blue Ranger" will be played by RJ Cycler, who is also a new face to the movie business, like his co-stars.
However, other better known cast members will be joining the movie. It was reported that Naomi Scott, who previously starred in the recent movie "The Martian," will be playing the role of the "Pink Ranger."
Meanwhile, Becky Gomez will be playing the role of the "Yellow Ranger." She has made appearances in TV series such as "Empire," which means that she also has a background in music. She has a song that reached the charts entitled "Shower."
Meanwhile, there has yet to be details on the movie's plotline. While the synopsis has been revealed, it did not share much about what fans can expect. The synopsis reads, "From a story by Executive Producer Roberto Orci (TRANSFORMERS, STAR TREK, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2) and screenwriters Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, THOR) comes a modern reinvention of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a group of ordinary high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world."
