Pre-Orders for BlackBerry Classic Underway, Shipments Coming Mid-December
BlackBerry has announced recently that it will be taking pre-orders for the Classic, also known as the BlackBerry Q20. The device is priced at $449 and will ship mid-December, however, only a GSM-compatible model is available for pre-order. Details haven't been released but the company has announced it will be on Dec. 17.
The Classic is a smartphone in its own respect but still retains the signature QWERTY keypads which has become known to BlackBerry's brand. The Classic features a 3.46-inch touchscreen with a display resolution of 720 x 720.
Inside the handset is a Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor. The Classic is only available in a 16GB internal storage variant with 2GB of RAM and an expandable microSD storage of up to 128GB. At the back is an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash and autofocus while at the front of the camera is a 2-megapixel camera.
The Classic won't be running on Android like most phones in the market and instead will be using its own mobile OS.
The device was first announced February earlier this year, where it was first known as the BlackBerry Q20.
