Pregnant Snooki Admits 'I've Been Drinking!'
After officially confirming her pregnancy and engagement, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has opened up about accidentally consuming alcohol during her first trimester but insists that she is curbing her hard partying as she adjusts to motherhood.
When the 24-year-old reality TV star discovered that she was expecting her first child with fiancé Jionni LaValle's, her first reaction was '"****, I've been drinking!" but she has since brushed off widespread criticisms about her parenting capabilities and is adamant that she is ready, according to Us Weekly Magazine.
"'I was worried. It was New Year's Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy [but] I have different priorities now. I don't care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I'm ready and he's ready," Snooki told US.
"My dad was upset. He said, 'You have your whole life ahead of you.' We didn't talk for a week. He came around eventually, and now he can't wait for the baby. My mom is so happy for me," she added.
The "Jersey Shore" star is renowned for her heavy drinking and promiscuous ways that is often portrayed on the show, but she says that she is giving up the show to focus on becoming a good mom.
"I'm not living in that house being pregnant. I don't want to be one of those moms who's pregnant in a club. It's disgusting," Snooki said.
Last month the internet was abuzz with rumors that Snooki was expecting; something she publicly denied, so the MTV star explained why she lied to her fans.
"I wanted to make sure the baby is OK. Things can go wrong, like a miscarriage. It was my business, and I wasn't ready to tell," she explained.
Despite critics questioning just how ready the on-and-off couple is for a child, LaValle says that they are capable and committed to raising their child.
"We are not going to screw this up," LaValle said.
The couple plans to walk down the aisle some time after Snooki gives birth.
