'Pretty Little Liars' Season 4 Spoilers: 'Lots of Answers' in Premiere
ABC Family favorite "Pretty Little Liars" kicks off season four Tuesday at 8 p.m. with an episode titled "A is For A-L-I-V-E."
The season three finale left fans on the edge of their seats with numerous cliffhangers. Within the final moments of season three, the five main leads of the show Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Mona (Janel Parrish), and Spencer (Trojan Bellisario) were rescued from a fire. However, it was not clear by whom they were rescued-- it looked like Alison (Sasha Pieterse), the thought-to-be-dead popular character.
The girls also discovered something shocking in the trunk of a car just before the end of season three. Fans are eager to get to the bottom of these mysteries.
Season four's first episode should clear up some of the haziness surrounding that finale.
"Within 30 seconds [of "A is for A-L-I-V-E] you'll know what's in the trunk. We usually have these big reveals in finales, but this is one of the first time we've had a premiere with lots of answers," executive producer Marlene King told TV Guide. King gave TV Guide another hit at what is in the trunk, saying, "It's something I personally look away from every time I see that scene."
Even the fact the episode is titled "A is for A-L-I-V-E" seems to give away some answers. It seems fair to assume that the title is referring to the thought-to-be-dead Alison acutally being alive.
Pretty Little Liars won't be holding back any information this season.
"This whole season is the season of answers. We decided let's not wait until the last season of the show to give all of these answers. We have so many questions we've asked and fans have been really patient, so this is the entire season of answers and the premiere sets the tone for that," King said.
