'Pretty Little Liars' Season 5: 100th Episode to Feature 'Several' Big Revelations
"Pretty Little Liars" returns to ABC Family tonight with a new episode entitled "Thrown From the Ride."
In addition to the brand new episode of season five, "Thrown From the Ride" marks the television series' 100th episode. According to spoilers surrounding the 100th episode celebration, "several" surprises are in store for "PLL" fans tonight.
Firstly, Hanna will make a decision about which guy she will stay with, according to TVLine. The 100th episode also marks Caleb's return to Rosewood, but the homecoming will not be a happy event for everyone - especially Hanna who must decide what to do about her relationship with Travis.
Furthermore, episode 12 of "PLL" will introduce Mona's mother, Leona. However, very little information about the brand new character is known. Since teenagers of Rosewood are typically similar to their parents – such as Hannah being street smart and stylish like her mother, it is believed that Leona will be a villainous character like her daughter.
As previously reported, "Pretty Little Liars" showrunners are in fact planning a "Ravenswood" episode that will harken back to the popular spin-off.
"I stay in touch with all of those people [from 'Ravenswood'], both the kids and the adults," producer Marlene King said, according to TVLine. "They know we'd love to – I don't want to say 'tie up' the story – but at least give it some closure. More than we were allowed to, anyway. We were heading somewhere with the story and we want to let the fans know where that was."
"Pretty Little Liars" airs Tuesdays on ABCFAM at 8 p.m. EST. The synopsis for "Thrown From the Ride" is as follows: "Ali wants to reclaim her leadership role in the gang, but the other girls aren't too keen on this. Meanwhile, students at Rosewood High await Ali's return; and as Aria sinks deeper into her depression, she finds comfort from someone unexpected."
