'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6 Plot News: '5 Years Forward' Episode to Air Next Month
While the upcoming return of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 is not slated until the beginning of next year, fans will not have to wait long to get a look into the lives of their favorite characters.
It was said that the series will be airing an episode titled "5 Years Forward" before the season returns. While the episode will not serve as an actual part of season 6, fans will be able to see Aria, played by Lucy Hale, Alison, played by Sasha Pieterse, Hannah, played by Ashley Benson, Spencer, played by Trojan Bellisario, and Emily, played by Shay Mitchell.
It was reported that the special episode will show several behind-the-scene clips from the premiere of season 6's half. However, fans are upset that the series will not be having a Halloween and Christmas episode in year. "Pretty Little Liars" has been airing Halloween and Christmas specials for their past season.
Previous seasons featured episodes that had Alison in many flashbacks that revealed how the other girls were being targeted by the mysterious "A." Another episode brought a hint to how Alison was murdered, which made the following special surprising when it revealed that Alison was actually still alive.
Apart from the specials, there was news on who the possible villain will be for the upcoming episodes. According to Hollywood Life, Marlene King, who is the executive producer of the series revealed details about the return of the season.
She warned fans that the new villain will be worse, compared to the notorious "A," played by Vanessa Ray. With that, fans will have to wait for the big reveal when the series returns this January.
"Pretty Little Liars" will play the "5 Years Forward" episode this Nov. 24, while the second half of season 6 will premiere on Jan. 12.
