'Pretty Little Liars' Season 7 News: EP Marlene King Talks about Movie Plans

Executive producer of the series "Pretty Little Liars" shared some details about what fans can expect after season 6.

According to Hollywood Life, Marlene King, executive producer of "Pretty Little Liars," gave some teasers about what will happen to the girls after this current season. It was confirmed that the series will be taking on the big screen.

She said, "We've got some really big ideas for a great PLL movie, but that won't happen right after the series ends. I think we'll take a little break and let everybody go off and do a few things and hopefully we'll come back together again and do something really special."

Besides plans for a "Pretty Little Liars" movie, there was also confirmation that the series will be continuing with a seventh season. King was able to share details about what fans can expect for season 7 of the series during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

King explained, "There's a new mystery and a new story that starts up when we come back in the next episode, and that story will most likely end at the end of season seven. So it's a great final, gigantic mystery twist — I think it's the biggest we've ever had. And that feels like season seven is probably a good time to end that story. But we'll see — we have a little time to play with it. But we're definitely moving in that direction."

However, fans will have to wait for the return of season 6 to find out more about what their favorite characters are up to. The second half of season 6 will present at time jump of five years. With that, it is expected that it will pave the way for the happenings of season 7.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 will return this January 2016.
