Prince George Christening Date Announced for Next Month
Kate Middleton and Prince William cemented plans to christen their first-born son Prince George, they announced on Friday.
A statement released by Kensington Palace named the time and date of the royal baby's christening at the Chapel Royal, St. James's Palace next month.
"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce the christening of Prince George will take place on Wednesday, 23rd October at The Chapel Royal, St James's Palace," the statement read.

Furthermore, the infant will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.
The Palace also said that "close members of both families" would attend the christening, but that the names of senior guests would be released at a later date.
It is expected that Middleton's parents Carole and Michael Middleton will attend, as well as the Duchess' brother James and sister Pippa.
Alternately, Prince William's brother Harry will undoubtedly attend, as well as their father Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.
The event will also likely see the attendance of Prince George's royal grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
In the meantime, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge "are doing very well" and remain enamored with their first child.
In August, Prince William assured fans that baby George is "growing quite quickly actually" before comparing the baby to his brother, Prince Harry.
"He's a little fighter," the Duke of Cambridge told CNN. "He kind of, wriggles around quite a lot. And he doesn't want to go to sleep that much, which is a little bit of a problem. He's a little bit of a rascal, put it that way. So he either reminds me of my brother or me when I was younger. I'm not sure. But he's doing very well at the moment."
Since the day after his birth in London's St. Mary's Hospital on July 22, the Duke and Duchess have kept Prince George out of the public eye.
Prince George is the third in line to the British throne, which is currently occupied by Queen Elizabeth II.
