Prince George of Cambridge Playdate a Success: 'It's Madness!' Prince William Exclaims (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
Prince George successfully fulfilled his royal duties by playing nicely with other children in New Zealand, and there are plenty of pictures to prove it. After spending a day recovering from jet lag with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the royal family was ready for a playdate with 10 families and their children, all born around George's birthday.
"It's madness! There are babies everywhere!" Prince William exclaimed at one point as the children took center stage, or floor, with all of their toys.
"Isabella and George had a lot of fun on the drums," proud dad Ryan Tunstall told Daily Mail. "It was a pleasure sharing our beautiful baby with the Duke and Duchess. The whole thing was a wonderful highlight."
George was reportedly one of the biggest babies in the room but played nicely with others and did not cause any scenes, much to the relief of his parents. He was carefully supervised by his mom, dad, and nanny as he interacted with other children and shared toys.
"George is quite bubbly, quite feisty and he took control," Grant Collins and Magda Gurbowicz, parents of baby Lucas, added. "He crawled to the center of the room and he owned the place. We spoke to the Duchess about group play – George had never played with so many babies before. She said it was the most amount of babies they'd ever had in a room with George. He does see other babies, but not many in a group like this."
The couple added that the little prince has "about four or five teeth coming through," confirming that he is certainly growing. The royal family seemed to be over their jet-lag from a 27-hour flight to New Zealand.
"William said sleeping and distracting George was the best thing to get over jet-lag and that's what they'd done," Collins said.
Kate and William spend most of their time swapping stories of first-time parenthood with their peers and overseeing plenty of play.
