Prince Michael Jackson on '90210': 16-Year-Old Makes Acting Debut
Prince Michael Jackson's acting debut has come sooner than many had expected at only 16 years old. The teenager will guest star on "90210" in the season finale of the CW teen drama.
Prince Michael Jackson's acting debut has him playing Cooper, a trauma victim who then affects Silver (Jessica Stroup) in a significant way, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show to end the fifth season is to be filmed this week.
The eldest son of King of Pop Michael Jackson has made strides to enter the entertainment industry recently. The 16-year-old was hired by "Entertainment Tonight" just last week and also did an interview with co-host Brooke Anderson. The ambitious youth said he plans to be in the business of entertainment for a long time.
"I'm looking to become well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor," he said on ET. "I've been raised around stuff like this so it was different being the interviewer instead of the one being interviewed."
Prince Michael Jackson was brought on to the "Entertainment Tonight" crew as a special on-air correspondent, and his first assignment was to interview James Franco, Zach Braff and director Sam Raimi for "Oz the Great and Powerful."
The young man previously revealed that he had set his sights on directing from even earlier, and that his father had helped him develop his love for being behind the camera. He was also inspired by Peter Jackson's work.
"Peter Jackson, I love his movies. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and King Kong," the youth explained. "I used to study his movies with my dad, put the volume off and just watch it, just the shots to see how he put it together."
While there is no word for any other acting gigs in Jackson's future, he is not the first celebrity to guest star on "90210." Carly Rae Jepsen, Ryan Lochte, Carmen Electra, and singer Ne-Yo have all been featured on the show, according to THR.
