Before setting off for their trip, William surprised Kate with a third wedding anniversary present: a Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch worth over $6,000. The couple won't officially celebrate their anniversary until Tuesday, April 29, but William wanted to get the jump on the gift-giving and truly surprise Kate with something that holds special meaning for him and his family.
Her watch is embedded with a sapphire stone to match her engagement ring, which was formally William's mother's ring. Diana also wore a Cartier watch and had one specially engraved for William for a birthday present. He still wears the watch today. William is said to have made certain that Kate wore her watch every day of their trip abroad. Kate also wore a new ring on her finger during the tour – a diamond eternity band understood to be a "push present" after George's birth.

While Kate may have joked that the eight-month-old put on "an extra fat roll" during his trip, his parents and nanny are extremely cautious with his diet and make sure that he dines exclusively on organic fruit and vegetables, like his parents. According to the Daily Mail, George's favorite foods include spinach, sweet potato and apple puree and broccoli with pear and raspberry.
The royal family chose not to indulge too much during their trip abroad and instead had fresh, organic fruits and veggies delivered to their room every morning. Kate managed to fit in her daily yoga routine, and the couple tried to get in as many laps in the pool as possible. Both requested not to have any cakes or sweets delivered to their room, knowing that they would be inundated at the places they visited.
Now the family is set to retire for a few days before getting back into the swing of things and fulfilling royal obligations. The three are scheduled to move into their country home in Norfolk within a matter of weeks in order to spend the summer with Prince George and relaxing whenever possible.
