Will and Kate Get Star Treatment in Calif.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have received Hollywood style treatment from the media as they arrived in Los Angeles, Friday.

The royals were greeted by a hoard of media reporters and cameras as they arrived in LA and were followed by TV helicopters as they traveled from the airport to Beverly Hills immediately upon their arrival.

The couple began the California leg of their U.S. tour by mingling with the technology and entertainment industries on Friday evening, where they spoke to British and American entrepreneurs, and to promote technology investment.

The prince and his spouse will spend three days in California and are scheduled to undertake charity work, and promote trade.

This is the first visit to the U.S. by Kate Middleton and the media went wild with anticipation as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge descended their plane to meet state governor Jerry Brown.

TV Helicopters followed the couple from the airport all the way to their first destination in Beverly Hills. Once at their destination the couple sat through presentations from five technology executives. They later had the chance to tour the exhibition rooms and try out new social media and video gadgets on show.

On Saturday Prince William is set to join a celebrity polo match in Santa Barbara, and in the evening will attend a $25,000 per table event organized by the British Academy for Film and Television (BAFTA).
