Prince William Photographed on Plane, Taking 'Everyday' Flight (PHOTO)

Prince William has once again proven that he is not a "typical" royal after being photographed sitting in the Coach section of an American Airlines flight from Memphis to Dallas on Sunday. A passenger was able to snap the photograph and posted it to Twitter, immediately setting off a fan frenzy.

William and Harry both took the same flight from Memphis to Dallas, though William was the only one seen in the photograph taken by a local reporter, Eli Ross, who then posted the photo to Twitter. He noted that he was quite surprised to see William and labeled the prince's actions as "humble/awesome." Numerous people have picked up on the photograph and agree with Ross' assessment of William's actions, including the fact that he paid for his own flight.

It's highly unusual for a royal, especially the heir apparent, to take a normal flight instead of a private one. William has always done things his way, though, and claimed to be a new type of royal. He and Harry spent the weekend in Memphis with friends at a wedding and enjoyed life as civilians, if even for a few days. The princes have both flown back to London and are returning to their royal lives. Both have stepped up and taken on more duties for the royal family.

William and wife Kate took a regular, public flight from Edinburgh to Manchester and surprised everyone on board the flight. Harry, due to royal protocol, took a separate public flight. Royals are not normally supposed to travel together, especially two heirs to the throne.

The boys' late mother, Princess Diana, always wanted her sons to live a more normal lifestyle and often snuck them out of the palace in order to expose them to a different type of living. She took the boys to a water park and McDonald's as well as to AIDS hospital wards and other previously "off-limits" areas that royals did not used to frequent.
