Dominic Purcell Explains How Michael Scofield Cheated Death
Breakout TV series "Prison Break" will surely make fans screaming for joy as it returns to the small screen for Season 5. One of the lead characters, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) reveals how Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) returns alive and kicking after his supposed death in "Prison Break" Season 4.
Did Michael Really Die in Season 4?
In an interview with Deadline, Purcell finally responded to the fans' most-awaited question, "Is Michael still alive?" His answer was surprisingly simple, "Michael didn't die".
The details regarding how Michael survived the electrocution was left clouded, but Purcell confirmed that the titular character somehow managed to survive. After his supposed death, Michael had a grueling adventure working with the ISIS and ISA. When he left the terrorist groups, Purcell revealed that Michael was sent to an isolated prison in Yemen to change his mind. However, being the stubborn character that he was, it was a futile attempt.
Upon hearing of his brother's survival and whereabouts, Lincoln follows him to Yemen for another prison break, but this time, things get more complicated.
Tackling World Terrorism in a High-Tension Storyline
"Honestly, the fans are going to be blown away by this. It's really a riveting, high-tension thriller. It's an extraordinary, extraordinary show. I've seen the dailies of it, and it looks like a cross between Bourne Identity and American Sniper," said Purcell.
The actor added how the high-tension storyline adapts to current events of terrorist attacks. "It's tying into what's going on in the world today with terrorism," he revealed.
