'Prison Break' Season 5 Spoilers: How Sara's New Husband Affects Michael's Chances

The wait is almost over for the premiere of "Prison Break" season 5, and to help fans get by the last leg of the waiting game, the cast has revealed new details about the limited series.

One of the new characters fans will meet in "Prison Break" season 5 is game-theory professor Jacob, played by "Royal Pains" actor Mark Feuerstein.

Since he plays the role of Sara's (Sarah Wayne Callies) new husband, the character is not getting a lot of love from those who want to see Sara and Michael (Wentworth Miller) together.

However, whether fans like it or not, Jacob appears to have helped Sara move on from Michael in "Prison Break" season 5 although Callies has hinted that what Sara and Jacob have is not actually unassailable.

"This is a woman who gave up on a certain kind of happiness when the love of her life died," the actress revealed to TV Insider. "I don't think Sara and Jacob are under any illusions this is a once-in-a-lifetime love," she went on to say.

Feuerstein himself gave Sara and Michael shippers the assurance that his character is not really one to replace the latter in "Prison Break" season 5, but he does have something to offer.

"But it's believable he might be this safe, smart choice to [help] raise her child. We have been living a perfectly complacent, happy, domestic existence," he explained.

It is unclear how their marriage will be affected in "Prison Break" season 5 once Sara learns Michael is alive after all this time.

Michael is intent on reuniting with his family, but with Sara's new life and him no longer the man that he was seven years ago, things are in danger of not going his way.

"Prison Break" will finally be back in the small screen with season 5 on Tuesday, April 4, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
