Pro-Life Movie Starring Rebecca St. James Makes World Premiere

The pro-life movie starring Christian songstress Rebecca St. James in her first leading role made its world premiere last Friday at the Great Boston Christian Film Festival.

"Sarah's Choice," which will hit stores Nov. 17, centers on the life of Sarah Collins (St. James), a young junior account executive at a major advertising agency who becomes pregnant while climbing the ladder of success.

Though her friends and co-workers insist that she has the right to choose a path that offers a successful career and seemingly unlimited material rewards, Collins comes to consider another choice following a series of nightly visions and the words of a mysterious stranger.

"If it is legally true that a woman can make her own private decision regarding her reproductive health, Sarah's Choice is a film that offers compelling moral reasons to choose life," the film's promoters state.

After seeing the completed edit of "Sarah's Choice" earlier this month, St. James said she was brought to tears.

"So excited to see what God will do," she commented.

Both a Grammy Award winner and the recipient of multiple Dove Awards, St. James has produced seventeen Top 10 singles – nine of which have reached the No. 1 spot on the charts to date – and garnered international success that has driven her record sales into the multi-millions globally.

For much of last year, St. James was notably missing from the music scene after she took an extended sabbatical following years of prominent success.

Instead, St. James has been increasingly active in the book and film industries, putting out a bestselling book last year and fully engrossing in Hollywood for more than six months.

Despite her new endeavors, however, the 32-year-old songstress doesn't intend to give up on her music career and in fact gained fresh passion and inspiration over the course of her sabbatical.

According to the Grammy winner's publicists, St. James will just be busier than ever.

"Often called the 'hardest working artist in contemporary Christian music,' over her past decade of stellar career successes, Rebecca St. James is today re-defining even her own definition of the term 'busy,'" her publicists exclaimed.

In March, St. James was honored with an Arvella Schuller Award for Promoting Positive Christian Values in the Arts. The Sydney-born singer is expecting to have a new album out by late 2009 or early 2010.
