'Project Runway: All Stars' Season 5 Cast News, Premiere Date: 2016 Designers And Guest Judges Revealed!
Thirteen designers are returning to television to try their luck at fashion fame in this year's "Project Runway: All Stars." This time, returning designers from recent seasons will be joined by two contestants from the "Project Runway" spin-off "Under the Gunn" and a designer who competed in the first and second seasons of "Project Runway."
Entertainment Weekly has shared the full list of this season's contestants, and it includes Asha Daniels and Sam Donovan, who competed in "Under the Gunn." Daniel Franco, who was the first designer to say goodbye in the premiere season of "Project Runway," is also in the competition. It should be noted that this will be Franco's third attempt at fashion glory - the second being his return to "Project Runway" in its second season.
Also joining the Season 5 returning designers are Stella Zotis from "Project Runway" Season 5, Valerie Mayen from Season 8, and Layana Aguilar from Season 11. There are three designers coming back from Season 12: Ken Laurence, Alexander Pope, and Dom Streater (that season's winner). From Season 13 come Fade Zu Grau, Kini Zamora, Mitchell Perry, and Emily Payne.
EW also reports that the guest judges for the 2016 run of "Project Runway: All Stars" are Coco Rocha, Kesha, Kristin Cavallari, Debi Mazar, Boy George, Brad Goreski, Johnny Wujek, Vanessa Hudgens, and Little Big Town. "Project Runway" judges Zac Posen and Nina Garcia are also appearing as guest judges, as are "Smash" co-stars Debra Messing and Megan Hilty.
Alyssa Milano is returning to host Season 5, while Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi are returning to judge. According to EW, the pair will be judging blind runways for the first time this season. Zanna Roberts Rassi of Marie Claire will be mentoring the designers.
"Project Runway: All Stars" Season 5 airs its premiere episode on Thursday, Feb. 11, at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
