Xbox Project Scorpio: Phil Spencer Comments on Importance of Having Titles Ready for the New Console
Project Scorpio currently expected to be released sometime during the upcoming holiday season
There are plenty of things that gamers want to desperately know with regards to Microsoft's Project Scorpio console, including which games may be playable on it come launch day.
It should probably come as no surprise that there is still no official list of launch day games for the new console available at this point in time, but that does not necessarily mean that the people working on this new offering are not thinking about that.
Just recently, Xbox Head Phil Spencer offered his thoughts regarding just how important it is to have games lined up for the console after he was asked about launch day games by Twitter user "@LosDreamss."
Spencer replied to the Twitter user by mentioning that it is "critical" that first party games are ready to go for Scorpio.
Unfortunately, Spencer did not share anything else with regards to what these first party games could be, so these will be titles that fans will just have to hear about later on.
Currently, some of the console's capabilities have already been revealed.
According to its official website, it will allow players to enjoy "true 4K gaming" and also offer 6 teraflops of power.
Additional details for the Project Scorpio console were also revealed via a Microsoft Store listing for it, and according to that, it will also provide support for "high-fidelity virtual reality."
Folks who are planning to get the console can also expect that it will be compatible with all the accessories and games that can be used with the Xbox One.
There are still other important details related to the console that are not known just yet such as its price, though that along with other bits of valuable information should be made available soon enough.
An exact release date for Project Scorpio has not been revealed just yet, but it is expected to be made available sometime during the upcoming holiday season.
