Project Scorpio: Console to Launch With 'Forza Motorsport 7' to Demo 4K Power?
Rumors are rife that the first-ever view of the upcoming Project Scorpio will come with a demonstration of yet-to-be-released games such as "Forza Motorsport 7" to showcase the console's 4K abilities.
Windows Central claims they have acquired confirmation that the still unannounced "Forza Motorsport 7" game will be the launch title for Project Scorpio. It also said that very soon, the console will be previewed along with a "Forza Motorsport 7" demonstration in "True 4K resolution."
The same report comments that the mentioned game "already looks utterly stunning" and will be enough to let people know what will set Project Scorpio apart from other existing consoles.
The news outlet also claims to have obtained and confirmed a partial list of first-party and third-party games. Along with "Forza Motorsport 7," Microsoft will also release "Crackdown 3" and "State of Decay 2." Meanwhile, the list of 3P games is believed to include titles such as "Battlefront 2" and the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2."
Titles from franchises like "Call of Duty," "FIFA" and "Madden" have also reportedly made its way to the Project Scorpio games list and will be able to run at a crisp 4K resolution. Several Xbox One games are also expected to be revamped to maximize the 4K feature of the Project Scorpio coupled with a six-teraflops process.
Meanwhile, on a more recent report, Windows Central has also tipped that a "major gaming outlet" visited the Xbox headquarters at Microsoft and was given the chance to peek at the specifications of Project Scorpio.
Windows Central senior editor Jez Corden went to his Twitter page to share that it is possible that anytime this week, Microsoft will unveil the technical details of the talked-about console. And according to The Inner Circle, a conference for the Project Scorpio will be held on Thursday as the official technical specs will be released through Eurogamer or Digital Foundry.
The Project Scorpio is highly expected to be part of Microsoft and Xbox's presentation in the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 this June while the console is expected to hit the shelves sometime in the holiday season of this year.
