PS4 vs. Xbox One: Usain Bolt Says 'I'm a PS Fan, Definitely'
One of the first celebrities to pick a side in the PS4 vs. Xbox One matchup is Olympic medalist and sprinter Usain Bolt.
Bolt was attending a tech event in France before his race on July 6 when Pocket-Lint.com asked him about what tech devices he used.
"When I'm by myself all I do is just play video games. That's not ideal most of the time," he said.
When pressed further on if he was interested in the next generation video game consoles he responded, "Yes definitely."
"PS4. I'm a PS fan, definitely," he replied to Pocket-Lint.com when asked what he will be buying.
Bolt will not have much longer to wait as the PS4 is rumored to be released as early as November 13.
PC Adviser reported they received word from Media Market and Bol.com for the confirmation of the November 13 date. Although the date cannot be locked in stone due to no official word from Sony, it is almost certain the system will be out sometime in November.
With anticipation of the Playstation 4's coming, it is already being regarded as one of the most powerful gaming devices ever created.
"The thing I'm most pleased about is the entire design principles about the PS4 are being focused around the gamer first. So how can we create a platform that's great to develop for and easy to develop for, because that unleashes the creatives and if they can create the best experiences that's going to lead to satisfaction for gamers," Fergal Gara, managing director of Sony Computer Entertainment U.K. and Ireland, told Tech Radar.
PS4's presales have been phenomenal, and Sony is offering four different bundles compared to Microsoft's one, Xbox One Day One.
When the PS3 was released in 2006, retailers were concerned by the console's high price tag, but since the PS4 is even cheaper than its predecessor and lower priced than Xbox One, the company is telling people to expect 10 times more units per shipment, reported Daily Game.
