'Quantico' Season 1 Spoilers: Tate Ellington Examines Confusing Character; Series Star Priyanka Chopra Wins Award

While the ABC's hit crime drama TV series "Quantico" Season 1 is currently on hiatus, fans have been keeping themselves quite busy figuring out the answers to some of the show's prevalent mysteries.

One of which is the question on who Simon Asher really is. A lot have been wondering whether or not the new agent in training (NAT) is actually a terrorist or just another angry citizen whose deadly plans went wrong.

Tate Ellington, the actor who portrays the aforementioned role, is quite baffled with the issue himself.

"He started as a Jewish accountant, gay FBI recruit. No I'm not sure what exactly he is. Everybody tries to figure out what he is (and) what he's up to," Ellington said in an interview with WAPT News.

One thing's for sure though, when the show returns in the coming months, Simon will have a pretty tough time.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Josh Safran said that "it's not looking so good for Simon."

More than that, Simon still has to deal with the consequences that took place towards the end of the mid-season finale episode.

"Alex [Priyanka Chopra] has to wrestle with the fact - and so does Simon - that while they believe the bomb in the basement of the hotel had been diffused, she's the one who told Simon that he could take his hands off that trigger, and they're both going to be dealing with that emotionally," Safran said, this time with The Wrap.

On the lighter side of things, Bollywood celebrates the success of Chopra in the recent 2016 People Choice Awards. The Indian film actress nabbed the recognition for being the favorite actress in new TV series. Also nominated for the award were Hollywood stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, and Marcia Gay Harden.

"Quantico" Season 1 resumes this March 6 on ABC.
