'Quantico' Season 3: Showrunner Confirms Character's Death

A possible "Quantico" Season 3 has been somewhat confirmed as Priyanka Chopra comes on board, but official word on the next season is still yet to come from the showrunners. Meanwhile, Joshua Safran has confirmed one thing, and that is the fact that one of the popular characters of the show has really been killed in the final episodes of the show's previous season.

Safran spoke with show and content aggregator TV Guide about how one of the fan favorites of the show "Quantico" is confirmed dead and gone following the conclusion of the action drama series' closing episodes of the previous season. Is one of the characters of the hit series "Quantico" really dead, or is the possibility of that character somehow surviving the circumstances to return later in the show still an open question?

Unfortunately for fans of Leon (Aaron Diaz), there's no chance that the character will be making a return later in the series, because the character is really dead, according to Safran. Fans and viewers of the previous season and episodes of "Quantico" may recall that Leon has been abducted and that his kidnapper has left him bleeding out in a bathtub after a set of unfortunate incidents. Now, Safran has left viewers with the final word that Leon did not make it out alive.

When asked by TV Guide "Is Leon really dead?" the "Quantico" showrunner answered in a way that could leave no doubt as to the ultimate fate of the character. Safran has replied "Leon is dead. He is dead. It's not somebody else's body in [the bathtub]. He is no more." Safran said as quoted by the write-up by TV Guide.

Meanwhile, sources have leaked that Chopra has signed a contract with ABC studios and "Quantico" producers, indicating a strong possibility of a season 3 for the show. The sources also revealed that an announcement could be coming in May, so stay tuned.
