Quincy Pondexter and Miss Tennessee: NBA Player Scores a Date After Playoffs
NBA Memphis Grizzlies backup forward Quincy Pondexter got himself a date with Miss Tennessee through a series on Tweets that were highly publicized on the social network.
With the Grizzlies playoff hopes over this year, Pondexter took to Twitter to find some love, tweeting, "Who won Miss Tennessee this year?"
The answer to his question is 2012's Chandler Lawson.

Chris Vernon, ESPN radio host, offered to set up a dating show for the NBA forward, but put his plans on hold when Chandler herself started tweeting back at Pondexter.

"@MissTN2012 - @QuincyPondexter hi! Heard you were looking for me? #gogrizz," Chandler responded.
Pondexter than asked if the she was single, to which she replied, "I'm lovin' it! And yes, totally single!"
"@QuincyPondexter - Oh totally single? Ditto ... Date? Lol @MissTN2012," responded the ballplayer playfully.
Miss Tennessee responded with a "You got it! We've got an audience waiting apparently!"
Pondexter was doing well on the court for his team, and now seems to be riding that streak into his personal life as well.
The 25-year-old forward played college basketball for the University of Washington and became an All-American honorable mention before being drafted as the 26th pick in the first round by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was then traded to the New Orlean Hornets the same day for the 2010 Draft.
In December of 2011 he was traded to the Grizzlies for Greivis Vasquez.
He is mostly known for his off the bench three-point shooting, with a career 36 percent average. However, in the playoffs, he shot 43 percent.
His career accomplishments are mostly college-related and include: First Team All-PAC 10, PAC-10 Player of the Week 5 times in 2009-2010 (a record), NABC All District 24 First Team, Pac-10 All Tournament Team, and 2009 USA Team World University Bronze Medal winner in the Olympics.
